Matilda's Scoundrels Call It A Day

After over 7 years together Matilda’s Scoundrels have decided to split up. The band issued the following statement…

After the impact of the last year and having had some time to think we are not going to be carrying on with the band. We had a great laugh, met the best people and were greatful for everyone who came out and shared the experience with us. We will still be about though so please come say hi if you see us around. Thanks for buying our merch and supporting us, from the bottom of our hearts thank you.

Formed in 2014, Matilda’s Scoundrels are a 6 piece folk punk unit from Hastings. They’ve been building a solid reputation up and down the country over the past year and supporting the likes of The Levellers, Ferocious Dog, The Mahones, The Rumjacks and The Goddamn Gallows.

Blending traditional punk instruments with accordion, mandolin, tin whistle and gravelly vocals makes for an exciting mix of music which has had hundreds of bodies moving, feet tapping and beer flowing.

TNSrecords have had an amazing relationship with the band and the Hasting punk scene. This will continue through the many bands that have formed from Matilda’s Scoundrels.
